Legal Experience

Ms. Stonecypher represents clients in both state and federal courts on a wide array of matters including personal injury defense, premises liability, and alcohol liability.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Stonecypher’s practice areas included family law and estate planning, as well as education law with a specialized focus in public finance. Over the course of nearly 30 transactions, Ms. Stonecypher worked as part of a two-attorney team to secure over $600 million in municipal bond funding for public schools throughout Texas. Based on her experience, Ms. Stonecypher possesses a broad base of legal knowledge encompassing both litigation and transactional work.

Ms. Stonecypher received her Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Administration, Cum Laude, from the University of Louisville in Kentucky in 2012. From there, she went on to attend law school at Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law, attaining her J.D., Cum Laude, in 2015. While in law school, Ms. Stonecypher was the Editor-in-Chief of Louisville’s Journal of Animal and Environmental Law, a Moot Court Facilitator, an Academic Fellowship 1L Mentor,  the Student Bar Association Community Service Chair, as well as a member of both the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic and the Women’s Law Caucus. Finally, to deepen her understanding of legal issues to a comprehensive view of the social, economic, and developmental climates which perpetuate change within the field,  Ms. Stonecypher obtained her Master’s in Public Affairs, concentrating on human rights and social justice, from Cornell University in 2017.
