Mr. Cisneros has thirty years of experience as a trial attorney and litigator, and has handled commercial and consumer disputes, complex MDL matters, premises liability, wrongful death, dram shop, and personal injury claims. Throughout his career, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in State and Federal Court. In 2002, Mr. Cisneros completed mediation training and became a certified mediator in the State of Texas.
Before joining the firm in 2018, Mr. Cisneros was in private practice, managing the firms of Cisneros & Mattingly, P.C., and Cisneros, Lucio and Martinez, PLLC. Before going into private practice, Mr. Cisneros was an Assistant District Attorney in the Cameron County District Attorney's Office, where he first-chaired over thirty jury trials, from DWIs and assaults to 1st degree murder.
He has handled criminal and civil appeals to the 13th Court of Appeals and the US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. He's also a published author with four legal thrillers to his credit: The Case Runner, The Name Partner, The Land Grant, and The Paper Lawyer. At the present time, Mr. Cisneros is in discussions with Hollywood Producers to develop a series based on his breakout novel, The Case Runner.
Born in the USA, but having lived in Mexico, Mr. Cisneros is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. His upbringing brings a clear understanding of the nuances of practicing law along the Texas-Mexico border. His approach to handling cases is founded on common sense and fairness, but he's also known to try cases when justice requires.
